This year, CYIA will take place
June 14-27, 2026.
(Need to be 12 by January 1, 2026)
You will be required to work a minimum of 4 weeks during our Summer Ministry.
Cost: $350
This includes ministry kits, T-shirts worn during the summer, and room and board for the two weeks.
3 Day VBS Ministry
A typical ministry week would consist of leaving on Sunday and returning Wednesday evening. Depending on the location of the VBS, you might return home on Thursday morning because of travel distance.
Summer VBS Ministry
We offer churches 6 weeks of VBS ministry from July 7-August 6. We do not put on VBS’s during the week of the 4th of July.
Face Painting
One part of our summer ministry is sharing the gospel at the Montana State Fair through face painting. This year the fair will be August 8-17, 2025. This is an optional week for you to serve.
Location
CYIA training takes place at Heritage Christian School in Bozeman, MT.
Students stay at the school during the duration of the training. Class rooms become the dorms. Teens bring their own bedding!
Training
The first week is mainly academic as we train the CYIAers to put on the VBS.
During the second week, you will be asked to put on a VBS for a local church. This is where what you’ve learned will be put into practice. You can also expect to be challenged to grow in your relationship with Jesus.
